Homepage traffic counter

The homepage counter records countable homepage page views in five-minute aggregate buckets using a separate Cloudflare Durable Object for this publication. Utility pages are not included. Common bots, verified bots, prefetches, non-GET requests, and low Bot Management scores are filtered when those signals are available. The counter does not store raw IP addresses, visitor identifiers, or individual request records, and should not be understood as perfectly human-only. Aggregate buckets are retained for approximately one year.

Advertising

Google AdSense advertising is not enabled at launch. If advertising is enabled later, this notice and any applicable consent controls should be updated before ads are activated.

Outbound links and providers

Articles link to third-party websites. Those sites and service providers may collect or process data under their own terms and privacy policies; this notice does not govern their practices.
